The little prince, my mom's most favorite story.

This is the prince from the book by Antoine de Saint Exupery.
I know it's a very simple drawing, but I wanted it to be simple like Exupery's writing style. I love his story, and I drew this pic after reading it for the, I don't know, 50th time!

The little prince is looking at his star. He knows that he has to leave the Earth. He is both happy and sad to leave it. This can be the scene where he has talked with the sanke, and now he is thinking about how he should break the news to Antoine.

No, I didn't know Exupery wrote the story in a hotel in NY. Thanks for telling me. I think I'll have to check some information about him on the internet. >.<

I remember watching this as an animated television show when I was a child. I did not read the book until much later, and I still love them both. Your drawing is very sweet and rather makes me want to draw some little prince cartoons of my own. :)

That's pretty, I like your way of colouring :) I love to watch the stars. I read The Little Prince for French class (a long time ago!) and another about St-Ex's experience's working as a pilot. I didn't know he wrote it in New York.

I remember that book--I read it in high school in French, then I read it again in English years later. When you read it as n adult, you see things completely differently. Every tme I have my students read the book, their first reaction is, "You mean the little prince is an alien from outer space?" I can't help but try not to laugh.

The Prince!!! I love that book. You've illustrated the scene perfectly, I think your style carries a certain sense of realism. I drew one inspired by the book a while ago - just added it here in case you're interested. Not anywhere near as good as this, though!

You have very good taste - first Tintin, now The Little Prince!

Never read the book, but it is a really beautiful drawing. Simple, but really good. I like it a lot! =D
